Hope grew up in New Jersey and comes from a long lineage of Italian decent. My mother's name was Josephine. She taught me early on that the key ingredient to a healthy and delicious meal was Olive Oil! Like most Italian homes, there was always a loaf of crusty bread and a dipping bowl with oil and vinegar on the kitchen table. My mother was an amazing cook and prepared meals for an army even if there were only four people coming, because everyone was welcome at our home. That is what I hope Olive and Vyne will become to people who visit our shop. A gathering place to taste and share amazingly delicious Olive Oil and Balsamic Vinegar and more importantly, a place that feels like home. My mother lost her battle with Cancer many years ago and I do believe this shop would make her very proud.
Kellie was born and raised in Idaho. After a long career in the entertainment industry in Los Angeles, California, I moved back to Idaho in 2011. Growing up, some of my best memories in life happened around the kitchen table with my family. As our family continues to grow, the tradition of 'breaking bread' together still means a great deal. I have been around the world and experienced some amazing restaurants, but nothing tasted better than a home-cooked meal by my mother Chana. At our house, meals are filled with joy and laughter and no one ever leaves hungry. I look forward to meeting new friends and to help create new memories around your table when sharing our Olive Oil and Balsamic Vinegar with family and friends.
