A cup of warm Balsamic anyone?

We always have chilled lemon water in the Tasting Room because it’s a great way to cleanse the palate after tasting so many unique flavors. But it has been VERY cold in Idaho and the word ‘chilled’ isn’t appealing on any level.

So we decided to try some of the balsamic vinegars we love most and turn that into a warm and soothing hot drink.  Balsamic vinegar is a wonderful alternative to tea. There is no steeping involved, no caffeine and an abundance of flavor without the need for added sugar.

People have been amazed at the aroma, intense flavor and calming feeling after a couple of sips. This is also a great way to boost your immune system as a true balsamic has potent antioxidants. And since there is no caffeine, you can enjoy this in the evening too without staring at the ceiling and counting sheep!

Some Olive and Vyne favorites include Honey Ginger, Lemon, Pear, Strawberry and Raspberry. We have found that 1 to 2 teaspoons of the white balsamic creates a perfect balance. With the dark balsamic, we have been using a tablespoon.

So put the kettle on and try something new and delicious!
